Associate Provost’s Message

The NUS Office of Student Conduct (OSC), formerly known as the NUS Student Conduct Unit, is an office within the Office of the Provost. OSC is the dedicated office that manages student disciplinary matters at the University level and reports directly to the Provost. The team at OSC has established strong partnerships with many offices and units within NUS, including the Campus Emergency & Security, the Office of Student Affairs, the NUS Care Unit, as well as the various Faculties, Schools, and Colleges. This allows for the smooth daily operations of the office and ensures that all students are accorded due process under the NUS Statutes and Regulations.

Beyond case management, OSC also engages students in outreach talks and provides educational resources for them. Presently, OSC manages the ‘Student Essentials’ e-course as well as the courses on ‘A Culture of Respect and Consent’ and 'Refresher for A Culture of Respect and Consent'. These resources contain fundamental skills and concepts for students, and aim to help students understand how their choices can affect not only themselves but also impact fellow students and the wider NUS community.

At OSC, we are committed to reviewing NUS’ disciplinary guidelines and procedures and adopting best practices and frameworks in order to remain relevant amongst other Universities as well as adequately support and protect the NUS community. Anyone can provide feedback via various email channels to OSC. Leading the NUS Office of Student Conduct, I am proud to contribute towards upholding the academic standards and integrity of the University, and fostering an enduring culture of respect and consent within NUS.
