Statutes & Regulations

Discipline with respect to students is governed by the National University of Singapore's (NUS) Statutes and Regulations. Any student who is alleged to have committed or attempted to commit offences may be subject to disciplinary proceedings.

The NUS Statute 6 contains the circumstances giving rise to disciplinary proceedings, and disciplinary powers accorded to various disciplinary bodies to safeguard the interest of NUS community and facilitate the smooth and/or proper functioning of the University. The NUS Regulation 10 and Regulation 10A complement the NUS Statute 6 by setting out the procedures governing disciplinary proceedings in NUS as well as the classification of offences, including sexual misconduct offences.
